RSPO: Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil
RSPO, a global non-profit organization, is dedicated to bringing together stakeholders from across the palm oil supply chain. Their mission is to develop and implement global standards for sustainable palm oil. As part of this initiative, they work with various entities, one of which is Puratos. Puratos, holding the license number 2-1152-20-000-00, is an active participant in this mission, contributing to the sustainable future of palm oil production.
Rainforest Alliance
Rainforest Alliance certification helps farmers produce better crops, adapt to climate change, increase their productivity, and reduce costs. These benefits provide companies with a steady and secured supply of certified products. At Puratos, we incorporate Rainforest Alliance-certified cocoa and hazelnut into our supply chain.
Fairtrade
Fairtrade's approach enables farmers and workers to have more control over their lives, Fairtrade supports and challenges businesses and governments while connecting farmers and workers with the people who buy their products. At Puratos, we incorporate Fairtrade-certified cocoa, sugar, vanilla, and nuts into our supply chains.
Forest Stewardship Council
FSC offers sustainable sourcing solutions that supports responsible forestry. They are the leader in sustainable forest management, operating the world’s most rigorous and trusted forest certification system. At Puratos, we use FSC for our packaging materials.
Environnement
CDP
CDP is the gold standard for environmental reporting , running a global disclosure system for investors, companies, cities, states and regions to manage and improve their environmental impacts. Puratos scores B both for Water and Climate Change.
Carbon Neutrality
Some of Puratos sites and our 60 days Chocolate have achieved carbon neutrality. This is certified by the CO2 - NEUTRAL label obtained from Vinçotte according to the PAS 2060 international standard for CO2 neutrality, which guarantees credible climate action. The sites that are carbon neutral: Philippines, Austria, Vietnam, Thailand, and Brazil.

SEDEX
Sedex is the Supplier Ethical Data Exchange – a not-for-profit organization dedicated to driving improvements in responsible and ethical business practices in global supply chains. The Sedex tool gives us a better understanding of our supply chain and helps us monitor and assess the sustainability performance of our suppliers, as well as the associated social, environmental and business ethics risks. Puratos is a member of SEDEX.
